My Project

Each music specialist in our district was given 30 ukuleles for our intermediate students to learn simple songs during a ukulele unit. How amazing especially for my school where more than 50% are Black, Latino and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households! The problem has been a way to store the ukuleles (presently in individual boxes) that allows quick access in a 30-minute time period before the next music class comes in.

I love my neurodivergent learners, but they need to have access to the sturdy non-breakable music items I provide for them, and it is unfair to them to have things like ukuleles mounted on the wall that can be easily broken.

When I saw this classroom ukulele storage cart with heavy-duty wheels which will allow me to push the cart around my classroom, then out of sight with ease, I realized this could be an amazing solution. It will allow me to differentiate more easily by providing my more advanced learners a way to excel in their music learning, and then quickly transform my classroom into a safe learning space for my neurodivergent and ADHD students.
