I am a Channelview Independent School District PROUD educator! In my classroom we are actively engaged with UNICEF Kids Power School Programs. The UNICEF power ups that allows our kids to be active and the opportunity of helping other less fortunate kids around the world.
The 21st Century is bringing a lot of challenges to all, but child malnutrition is something that we can reverse, Each one of us can make the difference.
My students are ready for the challenge.
Our school is located in an area that was hit and affected by Hurricane Harvey, but my students are exited and eager to help other kids around the world. I work hard to ensure that Global Citizen Education in part of
the classroom environment and seek ways to make it possible.
Our world need a new generation of citizens, that care for each other and take care of our planet. And i can see that will on these kids. They are our future.
My students want to increase their number of weekly RUFT packages they unlock daily. The understand that there are kids around the world that goes to bed without food.
With UNICEF Kid Power, kids run, jump and dance to unlock funding from partners which UNICEF uses to deliver lifesaving nutrition to severely malnourished children.
UNICEF Kid Power gives kids the power to save lives, by connecting their physical activity to social impact. The more kids move, the more lives they save. With this lifesaving impact, kids become more aware of the world around them, and are empowered to solve the challenges they face in their own communities.
The Power Bands combine with the Kid Power initiative will help my students to unlock more lifesaving RUTF daily. The more Kid Power Ups task completed, the more lives they saved – just by dancing & getting active!.
