Help me give my students these under the sea fluorescent light covers to bring us serenity and eliminate the harsh glare the fluorescent lights make in our pandemic era classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am asking for these seascape light filter covers for the lights in my math classroom. The new energy efficient fluorescent lights make for a visually harsher learning environment, especially with white walls and floors. All the lights are on one switch, so it is either dark in the room or incredibly bright.
These fluorescent light filters will create the illusion of swimming beneath the ocean while also blocking the harsh lighting that creates headaches for everyone.
The fluorescent lights over our workspaces can affect students in negative ways. By filtering or diffusing the lights, it can help students with glare on their workspace and make the environment warmer and less stressful. I am hoping the filters will improve students' engagement and allow for them to have a more visually appealing work environment.
