Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Problem solving is fun!" How many of our students have had the opportunity to experience this simple thought? Problem solving is an essential life skill; yet, our students lack the opportunity to experience and build upon it.

Opportunities that help our students discover this simple idea of "Problem solving is fun" is essential.

I hope to provide this basic opportunity and bring this spark of a thought to the community of students in which I serve.

Our school is a K-6 Title I school and serves a low-income community. Our students come from working families, and many of our students have limited access to different opportunities and experiences. Thus, one of my goals is to provide my students with experiences that will help them in their lives and careers.

My Project

During this time of Distance Learning, the inability to physically be at school with friends, peers, and teachers can be challenging and stressful for our students.

Please support us in bringing Ukuleles in the hands of our students during this time of uncertainty!

I would like to offer Ukulele lessons to my students to help them learn a fun new skill and explore how music can calm our hearts and minds. Once we have the supplies, we will figure out a safe way to distribute the instruments to our students. Thank you for helping us with this special project!
