My Project

My students have many gifts, but reading and math are something they continue to struggle with. They come out from their regular class for small group intensive instruction.

The way they have been taught in the past hasn't worked for them so we need to try something new.

Some of my students are just entering school for the first time and have an identified disability. For these students, they also need small group instruction to be able to understand basic concepts.

I have had much success with the reading intervention our district provides but for a couple of my students, they haven't and need to try a different approach. UFLI is similar, but just different enough with colorful digital components that just might be what these students need.

I do not have a hands-on Math Curriculum for my students and I have been adapting their general education curriculum. I've heard wonderful things about Math-U-See for students who need math to be concrete. This program does that with color-coded manipulatives for different numbers as the base for all levels. I'm asking for the first two levels for my youngest students to build a strong math foundation.

Thank you for helping my students with learning disabilities get the curriculum they need to learn.
