My Project

What I love most about our students is their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to challenge themselves. Our Battle of the Books students are excited to discover new stories, share ideas, and work together toward a common goal. They encourage one another, celebrate each other’s strengths, and are developing confidence as readers and communicators.

The resources I am requesting will give these students what they need in order to fully participate and compete in Battle of the Books!

Having a variety of engaging, age-appropriate titles will encourage them to read more frequently and explore genres and perspectives that they usually wouldn't.

Most importantly, Battle of the Books helps students see reading as something exciting, social, and rewarding. These books will not only prepare our teams for competition, they will also build lifelong readers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
