My Students

The Physical Education program at our school does not only teach locomotor and movement skills to our 700 children. Our program is an incredible character-building program. Every week a new character trait is the focus as we either learn a new skill or build upon existing ones. Fun games are definitely a must but building confidence, pride, honesty, responsibility will not only grow our children in the physical aspect but also as lifelong learners.

I teach over 700 students that range in age from 5 to 10, all of which are taught outdoors.

These children have braved the elements of heat, wind, construction noise, and lack of materials in order to have time to move and build relationships. We focus a lot on team building, good sportsmanship, and lifting every single person in the class up so that we all succeed and grow.

My Project

The units in PE have been a struggle to complete since we have equipment that is very dated. Students are excited to learn good skills like striking a baseball with a batting tee, golfing with a putting green, and jumping over hurdles; all these mentioned items will be a staple to add to our track and field obstacle course that I have created. I plan to create a mini-golf course out of several items in my closet as well as these materials. Thank you so much for your support of this program and the character-building of the students in our school!!
