My Students

My students all have significant cognitive disabilities. They are all eager to learn and do interactive things. We are a self-contained classroom for students with these cognitive delays.

I have my students for up to 4 years, having new materials and different activities to use help them not have to do the same thing each year.

They enjoy using these interactive activities and it helps the students learn in a new way. My students remember doing certain activities, and even when it is fun or interactive, they like to try new things.

My Project

I teach students with special needs. They are in a smaller class, receiving more individualized instruction. We also use computer programs to enhance their learning. Having new Chromebooks will help these students access their programs.

Being in JCPS and having the backpack of skills on the forefront of everyone's minds and instruction, having these Chromebooks will help each student be able to access their digital backpack more easily.

This is a big push in our district as is getting technology 1:1 for each student. This will get us closer to that ratio for my classroom. Thank you for helping us get 2:1.

Having the larger screen Chromebooks here, will help my students with visual impairments that are now working well on the larger desktop screens, but as that computer is getting older and not working as well, I still need something for him to be able to use!
