My Project

Traditional book fairs aren't always equitable. Instead of traditional book fairs where students buy books, our school has True Book Fairs where each student gets to choose 2 new free books to keep forever. As the librarian I spend the whole school year writing grants and curating a diverse selection of the most popular books to make sure there's something to delight everyone.

The book fair is held in the late spring, so students have books for summer reading.

These fairs generate enormous excitement and enthusiasm for reading. Your donation will benefit our students and their families because these books will be shared at home.
