This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in an urban Title I school at a special education classroom and we are raising trout in our classroom to release into local waterways at the end of the year. This program and the supplies listed will help foster a love for learning through an immersive exploration of trout and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities. Our goal is to create an engaging and educational environment where students can dive into the world of aquatic life while simultaneously developing essential STEAM skills.

Trout serve as fascinating subjects that allow the integration of various STEAM elements; the books in this project will help my students with special needs to research trout and their environmental impact on local waterways.

From studying their life cycle (Science) to creating trout habitats (Engineering) and ELA/writing related to this program, this project will seamlessly incorporate multiple disciplines
