Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 2nd grade scholars at our school in Texas are amazing students learning leadership traits to change the world! The trilingual curriculum of our charter teaches scholars to be fluent in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese by the time they graduate high school. Scholars have teachers in all three languages throughout the day.

The donation of headphones with speakers will allow students to record their language practice on chromebook programs, where they can hear themselves and get feedback as they respond to individualized language lessons.

This process will facilitate our scholars in gaining confidence with their language skills in speaking and listening, while greatly expanding their vocabulary in all three languages. Our student population is very economically diverse which has presented a challenge for some students to obtain headphones with microphones.

My goal is to bring the highest learning opportunities to all of our scholars despite any challenges they may face outside of school! Your donation is an integral part in helping our scholars advance and excel not just today, but in their future academic and career endeavors. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
