My Students

I have the neatest group of little friends this school year. I always tease them and tell them they are too chatty because they all get along with each other so well. We are a very close class that has cried together, prayed together, and most of all, laughed together. I tell them every day that they are the very best second grade ever, and I expect them to shine in everything they do.

My class inspires me everyday to find new and exciting ways to inspire them.

My students offer to be reading and math buddies to anyone who is struggling or needs a little help.

My Project

2nd grade students are more motivated to try, to learn, and to succeed when they are inspired. I have had a treehouse in my classroom for years and this year I added a tent.

I love the idea of my little "campers" going into the tent, pretending they are camping and enjoy reading a book.

The decorative trees add a touch of the beautiful outdoors and what could be better then Nature's classroom?

Not only will the trees encourage my students to work hard and complete their daily tasks, it also adds a touch of a scenic campground which many of my students have never seen.
