Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This school year, I have more children who have experienced traumatic events, which has cause them to have trouble with regulating their own emotions. I also have more Asian students who I would like to get more books in their hands that reflect them and their culture. The books on my wish list would impact my whole class and we would be able to listen to the stories and have discussions based off the books content. It is very important for children to have simple ways for them to connect, understand their world and their emotions.
