Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of English Language Learners and Native English Speakers who are very eager to learn. They come from very diverse backgrounds. The English proficiency level for my ELL students vary from Entering to Commanding.
My students are very energetic and highly motivated.
They are also caring individuals who are helpful to their peers and teachers. Many of them are determined to be successful, and if properly guided, can achieve great things in their life.
My Project
With this project I'm asking for a treasure box and variety of items that I can place in it for students to select from as incentives. Throughout the school day my students work so hard and follow the class rules. The Classdojo platform is also used daily for students to earn points throughout the day for their positive behavior and they earn the rewards based on the points. Some ways my scholars earn points are for working hard, being focused, participating and being helpful to others.
I would love to upgrade our current treasure box and have fun items that will continue to motivate my students to work hard so they can earn cool and engaging items.
I believe being rewarded for their positive behavior will continue to help them thrive.
