Currently, I'm the second grade ENL teacher. My class consists of English Language Learners and Native English Speakers. I have newcomers at the beginning level with no or limited English proficiency. However, I feel that my students are very enthusiastic about learning. Most of my students are only exposed to English when they are in school. Due to the parents' limited English proficiency, students have to communicate with their parents in their native language. A lot of my students have already overcome many obstacles to be where they are currently. I want them to understand the vital role of education in personal and professional life. I also want my students to feel confident when communicating with others socially.
