Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have a large student body. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with a majority of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is an ethnically diverse school in the Bronx. Students come from many ethnic backgrounds including English, Spanish, African, Arabic, Asian and Indian backgrounds. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics as well.
Our school is home to a phenomenal music program with many talented students!
I am hoping to purchase a traveling easel/cart to help our science program have more materials available to support students' learning. I currently do not have a classroom, due to lack of space, and I push-in to 12 classrooms to teach science. I plan to keep this storage easel on the 2nd floor of the school, which would allow me to remain organized and prepared as I wheel my supplies and materials into each cIass.
This easel/storage cart would greatly improve my students'
learning experience by displaying pocket charts with Science vocabulary words, and other visuals, while keeping all lab materials and supplies readily and neatly available, and creating a portable science classroom!

I am hoping to purchase a traveling easel/cart
Which would allow me to bring lab materials, art supplies and pocket charts to display science vocabulary words and other visuals to my students' classrooms. Due to lack of space, we currently do not have a science classroom at our school.
With a portable easel/storage cart, I can create a “ Traveling Science Classroom,” which would make it less of a challenge to bring and display all the materials necessary to provide my students with the lab materials, supplies and visuals they need to be successful!!!!
