My Project

To bridge the linguistic gap that exists within our diverse student population I am seeking classroom translation service equipment. This project aims to acquire essential technology - a high-definition television, a professional-grade camera, and a high-performance computer - to facilitate real-time translation and subtitling services. This will enhance learning outcomes, foster inclusivity, and ensure that all students, regardless of their language background, have equal access to education.

Classrooms are becoming more culturally and linguistically diverse and I am seeing the learning gap increase with my multilingual learners and I want to help them with translation equipment.

This project includes the integration of a high-definition television, a professional-grade camera, and a high-performance computer into our existing classroom. These technologies will enable the delivery of real-time translation services in various languages. The TV will display translated subtitles, the camera will capture the lecturer's speech through microphone and AI capabilities, and the computer will be equipped with advanced translation software to process and display the translations in real-time.

This project will enhance accessibility and inclusivity for non-native English speakers and improve academic performance and engagement among linguistically diverse students.

My school, which has roughly a 35% latino population, has a commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education. Our diverse student body is a testament to our global outlook and dedication to embracing and celebrating diversity. Acquiring equipment is hard since we are a Title 1 school and funds are low.

The implementation of a classroom translation service is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and equitable learning environment. By leveraging technology, we can ensure that all students, regardless of their linguistic background, have the opportunity to succeed. Please help my students through supporting this transformative project and make a lasting impact on the educational journey of countless students.
