Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are ELLs - English language learners - in grades K-5 and are of all instructional levels. These students have high energy and an interest in learning. These students are highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic. The students are eager to gain knowledge while making the best of their new environment.

My students are the most inquisitive students I have ever encountered.

They come to school every day looking for the opportunity to show their intellectual abilities; however, this is a second language for them and it is sometimes is a challenge. Regardless of the challenges, it doesn't stop them from trying their absolute best.

I teach in a Title I school. My students face hardships and unthinkable traumas, but they are extremely eager to learn.

I would love to change this outcome and facilitate their love for learning.

My Project

The materials that I am requesting for my kiddos will allow them to stay safe during this unprecedented time in the pandemic. Each student will have seat storage to keep their personals at their seat which will eliminate movement.

In addition, the students will use the book totes to keep their independent reading books safe and close and to carry back and forth from home to school.

Each student will have a slot in the tabletop paper center to place the finished work for me to correct and give feedback.
