My Students

I teach Young Adult Transition Program for individuals with disabilities 18-21. Our main focus is to help these students live independently and maintain a good paying job. The students have a diverse needs and abilities that we will strive to help teach these skills.

My Project

I teach in a Young Adult 18-21 Transition Program where I work with individuals with disabilities to function as close to independently when they leave the program. I work on a variety of living skills including cooking, cleaning, laundry, hygiene, relaxing, as well as money skills and budgeting.

To help better teach these skills I use a variety of curriculum, but will get most from Teachers pay Teachers.

I also want students to learn turn taking skills and cooperation skills so the puzzles and board games would be used to help them learn and grow in these areas.
