When the boxes arrived, the energy in the room was electric—quite literally, thanks to our new electrical wheel. My students were so excited to see these professional tools enter our workspace. They immediately wanted to know how the \"big fans\" (the air filters) worked and how we would be using the forks and the electrical wheel in our upcoming labs.\r\n\r\nRight now, we are using the air filters to maintain a healthy, focused learning environment while we study atmospheric science. The students have been fascinated by the concept of \"invisible\" particles, and having clean air to breathe makes our long lab sessions much more comfortable. We recently used the electrical wheel to demonstrate energy conversion, and seeing their faces light up as they realized they could \"create\" power was a highlight of the semester.\r\n\r\nThe next step for my students is a deep dive into air quality data. We will be using the materials to compare our classroom environment to the outdoors, helping them understand the direct impact of filtration and technology on our daily lives.
