Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a low-income school, where students are unique and remarkable. I want to give my students the tools they need to help foster their learning to their maximum potential. Studies have found that students perform better in terms of both comprehension and retention when material is presented in print. Print remains relevant in many classroom settings like mine. In order to make print more accessible to students, educators need classroom printers that are affordable, convenient, and high-performing. Our classroom has the printer but I need toner so students can print their work.
By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve student academic performance, but you will also help to increase their self-confidence and pride in their work.
Students not only use our current classroom printer to access print, such as worksheets, documents, and photos but they also print their own digital work and share it with others. By giving students the ability to share the work they created you are helping instill pride in their work and empowering them! The laminating folders will help protect students work for years to come. Dry Erase markers are great to write on the laminated sheets to help learn new skills.
