This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are part of a unique Hospitality & Tourism Magnet program, where they explore the exciting world of hotels, travel, events, and customer service. To truly prepare them for this fast-growing industry, I want to bring the real-world feel of hospitality right into our classroom.

Imagine walking into a boutique modern hotel lounge: comfortable seating, stylish décor, warm lighting, and an inviting atmosphere that inspires creativity and collaboration.

That’s the environment I want to create for my students. A classroom that feels less like a traditional school and more like the type of professional space they may one day manage or design.

With your support, I will provide:

• Modern seating areas where students can work together, practice teamwork, and role-play hospitality scenarios.

• Wall décor and fun lighting that reflect the vibe of boutique hotel spaces, inspiring students to think creatively about guest experiences.

• Comfortable lounge furniture that makes our classroom feel welcoming and encourages student engagement.

By transforming our classroom into a hotel-inspired learning environment, my students will not only study hospitality, they will experience it every day. This will help them better connect theory to practice, develop professional skills, and feel proud of their learning space.
