This project will help me transform my classroom into candyland, Crime Stoppers detective unit, March Madness basketball headquarters, Neon Nation, and a surgical floor! I use each of these room transformations throughout the year to keep students engaged and interested in our curriculum. It's also a great way to access their overall understanding of the material that we've covered.
Students can work with their peers to build skills and relationships within our classroom community.
Many of my students do not have the opportunity to build peer relationships outside of the classroom. This gives them the chance to work with students whom they might not otherwise be teamed up with. These transformations are not gender specific and allow all of my students to feel welcome and included.
