Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We ended school so abruptly, it was a shock to students, teachers and all our families. Students have been out of school for over a month now. They are currently doing all classwork online using Google Classroom. While the school was able to provide them with Chromebooks and internet access to connect with, it is not easy for them to learn solely on the computer.

Students are reaching out for more to do to keep their minds entertained during this pandemic.

My Project

These materials will help me transform my office in my home into a more kid-friendly learning environment. Traditional classroom teachers across the world have become virtual teachers overnight. My home office was not prepared for such an immediate switch. I want to give my students an authentic learning background in my home and better organize my materials to keep on track with their learning goals.

School looks different from inside my home, and I want to change that.

My students love our virtual face-to-face meetings. I want to make it as friendly and inviting as possible.
