Transform One Computer Into Seven For My Students

My students need 6 Acer LCD displays, 6 sets of Logitech keyboards and mice, and 2 NComputing X300 Access Terminal Kits.

We've found a device that will instantly increase the number of computer terminals available in our building! This is not only a cost effective approach, but it is feasible to implement given our current computing infrastructure.

Currently, we have no computer teacher. When given the choice, we decided to keep our music teacher at our school. Rather than teach word processing or spreadsheet creation or graphing or Internet research skills out of context, we envisioned taking a whole class and integrating this computer instruction with our normal content instruction. The problem is that our computer lab only has 16 functioning computers. We have some classes in our building that have near 30 students.

In order to make sure that each child has access to a computer terminal, we needed to start being creative. We've discovered the NComputing device as the solution to our problems. The NComputing device has been implemented successfully in many different educational settings across the country. The NComputing device can attach to one of our (few) updated computers, and when paired with monitors, keyboards and mice, we can instantly have new computer terminals. Computer literacy is essential for any child's long-term success in both academic and professional settings.

You can help us dramatically improve our computing resources at our school by adding six more fully functional computer workstations at a very low cost per "new computer." With your support, we'll be able to have a computer lab where each student can have a fully functioning computer in order to build the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in this digital age.
