My Project

Donating to my inner city high ability third grade classroom to create a flexible seating learning space will have a meaningful impact on my students' learning and development. Here's why:

Promotes Engagement and Focus: Flexible seating will allow my students to choose how they learn best, whether it's sitting on a comfy stool or lounging on a teardrop beanbag.

Encourages Collaboration: By using varied seating seating arrangements, my students will be able to easily work together, fostering teamwork and communication.

Boosts Comfort and Well-being: Traditional desks and chairs are restrictive. Flexible seating options, like the comfy stools and teardrop beanbag will make my classroom more inviting and comfortable, reducing stress, and creating a more relaxed learning atmosphere.

Supports Differentiated Learning: All of my students learn differently, and flexible seating accommodates these differences. Whether one or more of my students needs to move more or prefers a quiet corner, the comfy stools and teardrop beanbag, this seating style ensures that each child has a space that fits their learning style.

Fosters Independence and Responsibility: Allowing my students to choose their seating spot will give them ownership over their learning, teaching them responsibility and decision-making skills an early age.

Overall, donating to my inner-city high ability third grade classroom will help me create an environment that is more adaptable, student-centered, and conducive to learning.
