Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are a full spectrum with a diverse campus in race, culture, socioeconomic status, and interests. Our campus serves approximately 635 students, grades 7th thru 8th and between the ages of 12 to 14. Ethnically our students are approximately 87% minorities with 45% being Latin American, 26% African American, and 13% Asian and Pacific Islander. 25% of our students are currently English Language Learners.

We have 10% of our population receiving services from our Special Education department.

We have students coming from all over the district including many who are also English language learners. Our students come from a variety of cultures and socio-economic levels which means that most students have limited access to technology at home.

My Project

When your school has a coed flag football team, coed volleyball team, both girls & boys basketball team, and both girls & boys soccer team. It's important for every team has the proper equipment to train for the upcoming sport seasons. The barbells will be used to help training and to give our students a full fitness and conditioning program to prepare for on-the-field play.

Commitment starts before playing any game.

Strength conditioning the right way is vital in developing an all-around sports team playing experience. The barbells will be used to show our teams different options they have in training and preparing for a season and games. Barbells will prepare our students for their seasons with the use of strength training. Barbells will be used to develop training programs that are needed in a given sport. The barbells will also provide options for the teams in why they may want to shape their training program.
