Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching Social Emotional Learning is a tough job. Students learn better if they are interested and engaged in learning activities.

This what makes sensory toys, visuals, fidgets, and other learning materials very important aside from discussion of the lessons.

Toys touch the students heart specially when they take hold of it. Learning takes place when students remember what is taught because they were able to experience it.

This satisfies the 3 domains of learning which are cognitive(intellect), affective (feeling), and psychomotor ( doing/play/activity) which makes metacognitive learning successful.

As a School Counselor , this makes me more inspired and confident to teach Tier 1 Instruction about SEL which includes Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Decision-Making simplified and understandable to my young learners both the children with specials needs and the general education population.
