My Project

My first graders are losing their teeth each week. They are so excited about the tooth fairy coming. However, many of the students do not have access to dentists or dental care.

February is Dental Hygiene Month, and I would like to give the first-grade students new toothbrushes and toothpaste so that they can learn about how to take care of their teeth.

Also, I would like to read some non-fiction books about oral hygiene and some fun books, too. After learning about our teeth, then I will pass out the supplies for the students to take home.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
