My Students

I teach a mixed-grade 3rd and 4th classroom, with 22 students right now--but that is always changing! This group of kids begs me to give them more time to write, are always highlighting accomplishments of their classmates, and come to school every day wanting to learn.

More than anything, they love to READ, and identify as avid readers!

They take books out to the playground and the lunchroom and enjoy curling up in the classroom's bean bags. These bookworms could really use more books to soak up!

My Project

A good classroom library has hundreds of books for students to peruse. A GREAT classroom library has books that are high-interest and can suck in even the most reluctant of readers.

For my hesitant readers, offering these exciting TOON books will hook them into reading!

All kids deserve engaging and well-written books, no matter their reading level. Too often my students who struggle with reading will just continue to fall behind when the books at their level are boring and "baby-ish." It's essential to have books that will really interest them and begin to fuel a love of reading that will propel them forward in their learning!
