My Students

My students are warm, caring, and have the biggest, loving hearts. The students I serve are third-grade elementary level students who have many reasons for needing extra care academically, socially, and physically. Half of my class consists of students with special needs. The students (98%) at our school are at the poverty level. A good portion(half) of my classroom students are also students with special learning needs. I believe that providing students with the basics that they need is vital to their success. Eighty percent of my students did not come to school with any school supplies this year. I have had to supply them with all of the basics they need to be successful.

Our students will be happy to know that we care about them and that their success and their interests are important to us.

I believe that books that are interesting to my students are vital to supplying my students with what will motivate them to read. Most of the readers in my classroom are below reading level. This project is for much-needed books that are interesting to help me motivate my students to read and increase their reading levels.
