My Project

First-grade students in our district started using Chromebooks this year as their 1 to 1 device. This has been a huge adjustment, but they are getting the hang of it! Through trial and error, we have discovered there would be some tools that would make using and storing technology an easier and more organized experience.

Chromebooks take up a lot of space and touch pads are difficult for growing hands to manipulate.

A wireless mouse would help assist students with selecting choices on their screen and easing clicking and dragging objects. Our current "charging station" consists of three file folder holders that take up a lot of table space and have our chargers in a jumbled mess! Having a designated 'home' for our Chromebooks and chargers will clear up space and provide a much cleaner method for storing their devices.

Students also need headphones to be successful while using their chromebooks. They are needed for completing activities and taking benchmark tests. Some students' families are unable to purchase headphones listed on the supply list, having a set of headphones in the classroom would benefit these students and having a backup pair never hurts!
