This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school recently began a garden club we meet at lunch. Last semester our garden tools were stolen and we are in need of new garden tools, soil, and seeds.

My students are resilient and despite this set back, we continue to meet and work on the beautification of our school garden .

The garden is a place where students form the entire school can feel welcome and learn about taking care of living organisms. The students enjoy working outside with the purpose of making this space green and welcoming for all.
