We have many students who have onset dyslexia and dysgraphia and they are often left without appropriate tools provided by public education to aid their disabilities. Our students need differentiated books, writing tools, and even unique visuals to aid with timing.
Students with specific learning disabilities are incredibly inspiring in the hard work they display and we hope to continue their academic journey with the right materials!
We are requesting items such as a variety of pencil grips and pencils to aid with dysgraphia and slow-developing motor skills. We also have requests for specific lined papers, timers, and books that are geared towards developing foundations for students with dyslexia. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
