Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love how curious, creative, and full of personality my students are! Each day, they come to school eager to learn, explore, and express themselves in unique ways. Many of my students are developing important foundational skills—socially, emotionally, and physically—and they thrive with hands-on materials and visual supports that help make learning fun and meaningful.
This project will help provide my students with sensory tools and emotional supports to better navigate their day.
Plush toys will offer comfort and a sense of security during quiet moments and transitions. Kinetic sand encourages both sensory exploration and fine motor development, helping students strengthen their hands in preparation for writing. The traffic light visual tool will provide a clear and consistent way to guide students through transitions and nap time, supporting emotional regulation and classroom routines.
In addition, the doll clothing will promote pretend play and social interaction, encouraging language development and empathy. A pocket chart will be used to proudly display student artwork, building confidence and ownership in their learning environment. These resources will help create a classroom space where students feel safe, supported, and excited to grow. Thank you for helping me give my students the tools they need to succeed!
