Kindergarteners come to school with endless curiosity and excitement. Each day is an adventure for them. We start the year with such a variety of abilities - some kids can already read books, while some can’t even recognize their name. They are constantly learning new things, and seeing their growth from the beginning of the year to the end is my favorite part of teaching Kindergarten. No matter where they came from, every student is important and loved in our classroom.
My Project
Our school district has acquired new iPads for our students this year! I am so excited to utilize these with my Kindergarteners during Centers and small group time. Because my students learn better with hands-on manipulatives, I would love a few Osmo Genius kits to connect to our iPads. The kids will be able to use real letter, number, and shape tiles when they are engaged in their technology time. The apps promote problem solving and creative thinking while the students are having fun. In the future, I hope to purchase additional apps/games for the Osmo systems to keep these Kindergarteners excited about learning!
