They were so excited to see the fun colors and choose their own drawer to organize at open house. Students use the cart storage everyday to house the materials they use from art boxes, notebooks, playdough storage and more. During our quiet times and after independent work has been completed they enjoy manipulating their play dough and sharing their fun creations with their friends and me. During our first indoor recess, they were so excited to have different magnetic marble runs to choose from. They tend to mix them together and create brand new tracks! I also enjoy seeing them try out their fort kit to build houses and tunnels to crawl through. There were items in my project that are used daily. These include our headphone bags that have been extremely helpful and space saving for storing our headphones. Students are easily able to find their headphones and utilize our technology with ease. We are also loving the sterilite boxes to hold materials. These boxes are easy for small hands to use and also durable when we have accidents or big feelings.\r\nThe math games will help my students practice their math facts and fluency in a fun and engaging way. The STEM toys have already been used and loved by many students and I can't wait to see how this class grows in their building abilities!\r\nThe wave seats have been a great option for my students to sit in, and are helping build their core strength when they sit in them. Without your support this program would not be as enjoyable and engaging for our students. \r\n\r\nThe supplies we were able to purchase with your support have helped the students to get excited about math and want to stay active in our program. Our Number Ninjas love wearing their headbands to show how they are progressing through the program. They get so excited when we have our headband ceremony and they earn their new \"belt\"!\r\n\r\nIt is amazing to see all of the students so excited to participate in a program all about math! We have 30 students in our program and more on a waiting list hoping that they get a chance to participate soon! Being able to see the joy that learning new math skills brings to these students is so rewarding.\r\n\r\nOne of the favorite things with all of our Ninjas is working hard to be able to participate in our Number Ninja competitions. This is something that all of the Ninjas strive to accomplish. For the competitions we are able to take our top 5 Ninjas from third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. At the competitions the Ninjas compete against Ninjas from other schools in the Aberdeen area in a wide variety of math topics. It is such a good time!\r\n\r\nThank you again for all of your support. I love to hear my students recite the alphabet or count to 20 while putting the puzzle pieces together. They have been working hard on taking turns and using their voices to communicate what they need. The kids are so proud of themselves when they finish a puzzle!\r\n\r\nThe STEM games are a fun (and challenging) way to help my Kindergarteners \"stretch\" their brain muscles to solve a problem, especially when a partner or two is involved!
