This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students at AES are devoted to their education. However, our students face many challenges daily in and outside of school. 90% of our students live in poverty. Many do not know when they will get to eat, where they will get to sleep, and what they will use to keep themselves clean. Even though our diverse population of students face challenges daily, they never stop trying. They deserve the best.

Our students deserve the education that can make the difference!

Teachers at AES try to create a nurturing environment by providing students with all the materials and supplies necessary to get a quality education.

My Project

Art Integration gives students the power to make their education personal. Having craft supplies will provide opportunities for hands on learning. Our students will benefit from lessons with art integration. Some of the supplies include paint, paint brushes, poms, glitter, and staples.

Math is not the same without calendar time.

Our students need a visual calendar that they can manipulate. The pocket chart selected comes with month cards, number cards, and days of the week cards.

Overall, Kindergarten is a time to get the foundational skills necessary to be successful in school and to have some fun with art projects.
