it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an incredible group of special education students who work hard every day to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. They are resilient, determined, and eager to learn, but they need the right tools to help them thrive.
The noise-canceling headphones will create a calm, focused learning environment by minimizing distractions, which is especially critical for students with sensory needs or difficulty concentrating.
The whisper phones will provide immediate feedback as they practice reading aloud, building their confidence, fluency, and pronunciation. Finally, the social-emotional learning books will help my students better understand and manage their emotions, develop empathy, and strengthen relationships, skills that are essential for their success both in and out of the classroom.
My goal with this project is to provide my students with resources that address their unique learning needs while supporting their academic and emotional growth. These tools will help them feel empowered, focused, and confident in their abilities.
What makes my students special is their perseverance and growth mindset. Despite facing obstacles, they show up every day ready to learn and improve. This project will allow me to meet them where they are, support their strengths, and help them reach their full potential.
