Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students are transitioning to a new way of learning. Students who may have been instructed in small groups with accommodations and modifications made by the teacher are now adapting to new routines and delivery of instruction.

Students left school without the supplies they are use to accessing at school.

White boards, markers, number lines, reference charts, specialized paper, counters, and erasable practice booklets are some of the supplies that assist students to complete their work. At home, many of my students struggle to just to have access to a notebook and pencil!

I hope to prepare and deliver supplies to each student. Access to these supplies will greatly enhance my ability to instruct them through Distance Learning. Parents have done an amazing job. I want to help them by providing these supplies that may be difficult to find in neighborhood stores.

My Project

This a dynamic class of 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students. Each student has the great potential to accomplish meeting their grade level goals. Most students may require additional instruction and access to visuals and manipulatives to understand new concepts taught. Number lines, whiteboards with charts, and markers assist students in their understanding and ability to solve problems individually. Specialized journals with highlighted lines guide students with occupational therapy and visual processing difficulties learn how produce legible writing.

Many of the tools used in class cannot be found in your neighborhood store, so I need help to get these supplies to my students.

I hope to be able to provide these supplies to make Distance Learning more accessible and keep the learning process going!
