My Students

My students are learning in a 50/50 Dual Language Immersion program. I am a Chinese teacher. I currently have 43 students in my class. Many students faced challenges on spending significant chunks of time doing school from home over the past year. The impact of distance learning on these students are very, the learning gap among disadvantage students would be one of them. Now, these students back to in-person learning, they come to school every day ready to learn. My class inspire my teaching with their stories and ideas. They are sweet and naïve and want to please. Most of them are responsible with their homework.

My Project

“Reading” and “Speaking” are the soul of the language learning since students have to tell the accuracy of characters pronunciation and the tone for the full sentence. So, they need to read the Chinese articles loudly and clearly in order to hear what they are reading to ensure the correctness. Headphone with speaker allows the students to minimize the noise and distraction. Teaching material such as articles which come with audio and video can enhance the learning experience dramatically. Headphone and speaker can also make students to hear better about what they hear and read.
