My students need opportunities to communicate with each other. They need to learn cooperative learning skills and become team players. My students need to enhance their communication skills while stimulating their brains.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students need recess to release energy. They need time in the day to have a break. All of the students work really hard and look forward to their recess. During the cold winter months students become restless and become involved in unnecessary arguments because they are bored. The students have expressed they are bored when they have to watch a movie during indoor recess. When the students were informed there is going to be alternative recess program, they all cheered! Students need to time to play!
My Project
During the cold winter months, students are not able to play outside. It is way too cold to play! When the temperature is below 32 degrees, the students are directed to watch a movie in the auditorium. The students need movement and brain stimulation! They need to socialize with their peers and create new friendships. I am creating an alternative recess program, where students are able to play structured games with their peers.
The students today need opportunities to work in groups and have face to face conversations.
I want students to engage in conversations and play with their peers.
