During the cold winter months, students are not able to play outside. It is way too cold to play! When the temperature is below 32 degrees, the students are directed to watch a movie in the auditorium. The students need movement and brain stimulation! They need to socialize with their peers and create new friendships. I am creating an alternative recess program, where students are able to play structured games with their peers. The students today need opportunities to work in groups and have face to face conversations. I want students to engage in conversations and play with their peers.
