My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. My students vary from highly gifted to special needs.

My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous.

They like to move and love lots of positive attention. All students receive a free lunch based on the socioeconomic status of our area. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as "typical."

My Project

My students each have a laptop thanks to a federal grant. We need toner for the classroom printer to be used to print projects and materials for interactive notebooks in math and in social studies. We are only supplied one cartridge per year for each classroom but use up about 6 per year.

Your donation will mean I won't have to fork out the money from my paycheck for the expense and will be more able to pay for other things my students need throughout the year.

We are a title one school due to many students living in poverty.
