This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This Field Day is all about celebrating our students’ unique abilities and creating an inclusive environment where every child feels empowered to participate and succeed. We envision a day filled with laughter, teamwork, and accomplishments that will leave lasting memories for our students and their families. The resources we’re requesting, like sack race bags, hula hoops, a tossing game, and giant bowling, are thoughtfully chosen to ensure that every activity is accessible and adaptable to meet the needs of all our students. These games are more than just fun—they are opportunities to build teamwork, improve motor skills, and foster a sense of confidence and achievement in a supportive setting.

Imagine the joy on a student’s face as they cross the finish line in a sack race, hear the cheers of their peers after knocking down pins in giant bowling, or experience the thrill of successfully tossing a beanbag into the target.

These moments are transformative, teaching students the value of perseverance and cooperation while showing them that their efforts matter and are worth celebrating.

The medals we’re requesting will serve as a proud reminder of their accomplishments, giving each student something tangible to cherish and take home. And, of course, the snacks will keep their energy up, offering a chance to relax and recharge while they celebrate their successes and share moments of camaraderie with their friends and teachers.

With your support, we can make this vision come to life—a Field Day where all students, regardless of ability, feel included, celebrated, and truly valued. This is more than just an event; it’s a chance to show our students that they are capable, appreciated, and part of a community that believes in them.
