My Students

I am lucky enough to be teaching at a new school in my district this year. Each and every student eagerly comes to school every day to learn and interact with myself and each other. The students view school as a second home, and I really want them to feel welcome each time they walk in.

My school is a Title I school and with that means our needs are somewhat different from that of other schools.

Although we have many and different needs, it does not replace the love my students have for school.

The students are eager to learn ALL subjects, especially science and math. Both of these subjects are so interactive—I want students to be engaged during all lessons and activities.

My Project

My students will benefit from a horseshoe table to work in small groups. Students will be able to work with other students and their teacher in small, leveled groups to work toward mastering skills. The horseshoe table will allow students an intimate setting to complete daily tasks in reading and writing.

My students will use this table throughout all parts of our school day.

They will feel success during small groups when given the chance to work with other students and teachers in the classroom. My students will see success because they can collaborate with one another by speaking, writing, and solving problems daily.
