My Project

Our students are still struggling with the learning they missed during Covid. Many of our students are several grade levels behind with reading and comprehension. As a literacy teacher who travels to all the classes in my junior high building, I would like the opportunity to provide fun and engaging lessons to support the ELA curriculum. Games like spinner wheels and Plinko, hands-on materials like dry-erase markers/boards, index cards, and sticky notes, will help make these lessons come exciting for them. Every student is motivated with a little piece of candy as a reward for chapter completion or a prize in the reading contest. We want our students on grade level before they advance to high school!
