Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a group of eager, kind, playful and overall AMAZING kindergarteners. Nonetheless, we would benefit tremendously by having materials that make reading fun and engaging.

As a child, I LOVED to read and I hope to pass this love of reading onto my students.

My class loves hands-on activities and the dough will be used to practice reading and writing words. Furthermore, the Jenga-like game will be a fun way for students to practice sight words! Reading should not be seen as an intimidating or unfavorable task, and I hope this project will inspire my students to want to become stronger readers!
