Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Even though I teach at a low-income and high poverty school district where students face many challenges in and out of the classroom they still come with an eager to learn everyday.

There is not much for children to do in their free time in our small town, so we try to make their day at school full of interesting activities.

After a day at school, my students may go play little league, soccer or to our small movie theater. Each of my students has their own unique personality.

My Project

Our future leaders need as many books in their little hands as possible. Seeing students when they find a good book and not being able to put it down is the best moment in a classroom. This will be possible when students get new books and the excitement takes over. They only go to our school library once a week and it isn't always possible to get a new book after they finish it. Having a classroom library will help them pick up another one right away. They will be able to take them home and share them with loved ones.
