As I start the new year with my Second grade students I always think of ways to improve the classroom. While researching I found out the benefits of flexible seating and thought how great it would be to give my students the option to sit somewhere other than their desks. Flexible seating will help them concentrate and engage them in learning. They can choose to sit where they are relaxed or even jiggling in their seats but still engaged in the lesson. I want my students to have fun and be comfortable while learning! We need fun, unique, and flexible seating to match their unique and fun personalities. If they have options available to them and can choose their own seats, then they will choose somewhere they are comfortable and can complete their work. This is why I'm asking for flexible seating options such as wobble chairs, stools and benches.
